On the Mondays, for the implausibly intense month, that we have been together. You have taken me to some long-forgotten places. To heights and depths that are indelibly imprinted on my very being. Through tears and, through real pain that was a breaking of the shell that encloses my understanding. You’re a teaser. In two hours you aroused and excited me. You made me smile, being a strict mistress. Using your large egg timers for our little games, or using thorns, buds and roses on me. To great effect. I have tasted something fresh, something novel. Now we must part. But not without expressing my sincere gratitude to you, Writer Author Novelist, for encouraging me in writing my memoir.

My entire school life I hated writing. My teachers showed no confidence in me to learn. You called us, your students writers. You gave me the confidence to write, to vomit onto the page. I vomited all the pain and trauma from childhood, from my abusive marriage. Words healed me. Now I call myself a writer, I know the power of words, and I love stepping up to the page like you encourage.
